2000AD Productions was set up in 2000 by freelance producer Adrian Devane.  Originally from Galway, Adrian attended the Galway Film Centre and The Galway Youth Theatre to gain his knowledge of the TV film and performance industries.  Having completed many courses from producing films to editing he moved to Dublin to work on commercials and music videos as a production assistant working with Zanzibar Films and Red Rage Films.  Short films were been turned out every month back then and it was here that he gained his experience in film working on over 15 short films.

After this he jumped at the opportunity to work in Television on the BBC’s Ballykissangel, again as a trainee.  While in Ardmore Studios doing that he met veteran US producer Ned Dowd whom he now works alongside.  Ned was there producing The Count of Monte Cristo.  Over the next few years Adrian went on to work on Hollywood blockbusters like Reign of Fire, Joel Schumacher’s Veronica Guerin, King Arthur and Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto.  He also worked on other indie movies such as Headrush, Short Order and 32A.  In 2006 he Line produced Speed Dating which is on general release in April 2007.  2000AD Productions are developing a number of feature films with Irish writers.  “We are always looking for good comedy scripts”.
